Daily Routines are put in place at Robyn's Family Day Care to provide the children with an understanding of what is 'about' to happen, routines do however change and not set in stone but is more set as a guide for the day, to create a smooth flow of experiences.
Children are never forced to participate during craft or set up activities, however; meal times, rest time and the transitions from indoors to outdoors times are set to support safety, care and guidance.
Currently-Winter
7:30am-9:30am-Indoor play. Free play time, child requested resources, playing with preset activity tables and permanent reachable resources.
9:30-10am-Morning tea-Variety of two-three types of fruits provided
10am-11:00am-Outdoor play (weather permitting). Choices of free play experiences with existing resources/preset activities, such as: obstacle courses, blankets with toys, craft or water/sand table.
11:00am-11:30am-Indoor clean up time as a group, craft
11:30am-12-Lunch
12:00-2pm-Rest time (non sleepers, quiet activities on their bed)
2:00pm-2:30pm-T.V time (allowing smooth wake up)
2:30pm-3:00pm-Afternoon Tea
3:00pm+ Varies daily between outdoor/indoor free play, play in the side area, crafts, packing/tidying up.
4:00pm-5:00pm-Scattered home time.
